
Jessica is the co-owner and manager of The Pilates Studio of Central Ohio. Jessica was introduced to Pilates in 1998 by her father Bruce, who was training to become an instructor. Bruce opened the studio in Dublin in 1999, where Jessica soon became an instructor. After four years of practicing and teach Pilates, Jessica became a fully certified Stott Pilates Instructor. She is certified in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels, and Injury and Special Populations. In the summer of 2004, Jessica became a Stott Pilates Instructor Trainer and the studio became the only Stott Pilates Licensed Training Center in Ohio. Jessica not only runs the studio but also certifies instructors, and travels for Stott Pilates.
Shirlee is a full-time instructor at The Pilates Studio. She has been practicing Pilates since 2002. Her background is in ballet and modern dance as well as various other types of fitness. She has taught modern dance and creative movement and worked as a Licensed Social Worker since 1988. Shirlee discovered Pilates in Israel while dancing and has found it to be a wonderful means of strengthening muscles while increasing flexibility. She is certified in Mat along with being trained in the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels.
Beverly is a part-time instructor at The Pilates Studio and has been practicing Pilates since 1998. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University in Fashion Design working for companies such as Madison’s, Express, and Longaberger. Beverly decided to try Pilates because she wanted to increase muscular strength, flexibility, and endurance. She is certified in STOTT Pilates Mat, Reformer, and CCB as well as being an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Spinning Instructor.
Marla is a part-time instructor who has been practicing Pilates since 2001. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Franklin University. She has been involved in fitness instruction since 1980. Since 1995, Marla has been an entrepreneur offering personal training, Yoga, and general fitness instruction to her clients. She found Pilates when she was in search of a new form of exercise to add to her personal training repertoire. She is a certified instructor in Stott Pilates mat and reformer and is currently working towards her full certification.
Alice is a part-time instructor at The Pilates Studio and has been practicing Pilates for four years. Alice’s background is in Executive Recruiting, Coaching, and Training. Along with these careers, she has owned and operated a project management consulting business since 1997. She became interested in Pilates due to her emphasis on strengthening the core and improving low back issues. Alice has achieved her full certification in Stott Pilates which includes mat, reformer, cadillac, chair, barrels, and injuries and special populations.
Lydia is an instructor at The Pilates Studio and has been practicing Pilates since 2003. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design from The Ohio State University. She is keeping current with design by doing freelance work. Lydia started doing Pilates as a way to ease chronic muscle and tissue pain in her back and stomach. Since starting Pilates, she has been able to manage her pain and become pain free. She is certified in Stott Pilates mat and reformer and is currently working towards her full certification.
Tracy has taught at The Pilates studio since 2005. Tracy, her husband, and 4 children moved to Columbus from Dallas, Texas in 2000. Tracy immediately began taking classes from Bruce and Jessica where she went on for training and certification in Mat and Reformer. She was introduced to Pilates at the Cooper Fitness Institute in Dallas in 1993 while looking to find time for herself while raising 4 children under the age of 4. Besides teaching Pilates, Tracy enjoys playing tennis and swimming.
